Shop Local: Pop Cycle Shop

This local business is just one of many participating in Indie Week, and from my visit yesterday it was quite busy! Located on 4th Ave, this shop fits right in amongst the unique craft culture that is 4th avenue and Downtown Tucson. Pop Cycle’s company focus is on featuring local artist’s work and using recycled materials to create art. You can’t get much more sustainable than that! If you are not local to Tucson, don’t worry, they have a website with much of the items shown below. Check out some of the items I found intriging.

Upcycled Materials

A great example of some of their products is this wallet. Made out of recycled items such as a Peets Coffee wrapper, giving new life to what might be been tossed. Most of the merchandise uses recycled materials, such as the robot banks or key chains made out of old maps.

Other items they sell are T-shirts, hats, handmade jewelry, items for kids, kitchenware, artwork, and so much more.

Apothecary

Sonoran Rosie’s featured in the middle, the smell of the monsoons in a bottle!

One of my favorite product lines Pop Cycle offers is Sonoran Rosie. I purchased a couple of her products as gifts for my family this last christmas, saving a prickly pear lip balm and hand-cream for myself.

How I used my Golden Ticket

It was tough to not purchase more but I’m trying to learn to shop for what I will use rather than what is fun in the moment. You know, less waste and all (haha). So I purchased this beautiful handcrafted necklace by High and Dry Jewelry and a tote (not pictured) for all my shopping needs.

Be sure to add “LOCALSONLY” to the cart when you go to check out so you can pick up the items rather than ship them. Not local at all? Plan to have the items shipped to get your piece of the Tucson desert.

Be sure to check out the shop this weekend to take advantage of your golden ticket discount of 20% off. If you haven’t signed up for your golden ticket yet, you can do so below. The coupon expires after Sunday!
