Less Waste Reads

Happy New Year! If you are looking to curl up with a good book or plug in an audiobook on this holiday check out some of these zero waste reads.

Plastic-Free: How I Kicked the Plastic Habit and How You Can Too

This was my first read into the zero waste lifestyle. Beth packs in a ton of information in her book and the audio version has been updated since it was first published to be sure to include new resources. If you are new to the zero waste life, she will breakdown information about what plastic is, how not all plastic is the same and why it is important to know this. Some parts were a little drawn out but for the most part I really enjoyed this one.

Give a Sh*t: Do Good. Live Better. Save the Planet.

Ashlee does a good job of getting to the point in this book. She has a lot of good information and when listening to the audiobook she will stick to the vital information and tell you to reference the PDF for things like recipes or more in-depth information which I appreciated. I was not aware of the strain our planet takes to make meat available and why so many have stated that going plant-based can help save resources and the planet. She has some good background on that if you are interested.

Zero Waste Home

I have not read this one yet but it is next on my list to read. I have heard many good things from the zero waste community on Bea’s book and I hope to gain some extra tips and tricks I might incorporate into my lifestyle.

Less Stuff: Simple Zero-Waste Steps to a Joyful and Clutter-Free Life

Another on my list to read is Lindsay’s book. I am working to live a more minimalist lifestyle and I like the idea that Lindsay addresses both zero waste and less stuff in one book. I feel this is a good approach and really look forward to digging in.
